Application
1). Glycol is an important organic chemical material mainly used in the production of polyester products, but also has a wide range of applications in non-polyester fields. In addition to the physical and chemical properties of petroleum-based ethylene glycol, the bio-based ethylene glycol (DLEG®) from Sinoco has a natural degree of 100%, which makes it more suitable for application in the fields of intimate fiber raw materials, beverage bottle production, antifreeze, flavors and fragrances, food additives, and pharmaceuticals.
2). Polyester field: bio-based glycol is used to synthesize bio-based PET, PEF, PETG polyester, which is further processed into polyester filament and staple fiber for the textile industry, and processed into bottle blanks and bottle chips for the food and beverage packaging industry.
3). Non-polyester field: bio-based glycol is widely used in flavor and fragrance, daily chemical products and pharmaceutical industry.
4). Bio-based glycol is used as flavor diluent, which plays the role of regulating the concentration of flavor, making it more suitable for use, and its stable physical and chemical properties can ensure the quality and stability of the flavor.
5). Bio-based Polyethylene Glycol has capacity-enhancing effect, which is suitable for the production of all kinds of high-quality daily chemicals, playing the role of emulsifier and plasticizer, and it can also play the role of softener and antistatic agent in non-oil lubricant and hair spray.
6). Bio-based polyethylene glycol is a class of water-soluble polyether with small molecular weight, easily soluble in water and most polar solvents, with certain surface activity, capable of all aliphatic hydroxyl chemical reactions, and with low toxicity and no antigenicity, it is a medicinal excipient included in the Pharmacopoeia of many countries, and is widely used in preparations.
7). Bio-based polyethylene glycol can be used in the production of cephalosporin antibiotics , ceftriaxone and so on. The solid dispersion of aspirin-PFC 20001 prepared by melting method with bio-based polyethylene glycol 20001 as the carrier has a significantly higher drug dissolution rate than that of APIs and physical mixtures. Bio-based polyethylene glycol can be used as a mediator and binder for many drug formulations, especially in the modification of drug proteins, plant cell culture technology and slow-release formulations with new markets.
8). Bio-based polyethylene glycol absorbs 10 to 100 times its own weight of water after cross-linking and releases it when necessary, utilizing this property to be used as a highly absorbent resin. Polyethylene glycol can also be used in reusable water packaging film and medical bandages.
