Application

1). Used in the preparation of floral oils and medicines, etc., also used as a solvent for fragrances and as a flavoring agent.
2). Used as raw material and perfume fixing agent for spices, raw material and anesthetic agent for medicine, antiseptic, dyeing auxiliary agent, solvent for paints and inks, and used in the production of ball-point pen oil.
3). Used as reagent for chromatographic analysis, also used in organic synthesis.
4). As a flavor, mainly used in the preparation of berries, nuts and other types of flavor.

Storage
1). Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
2). Keep away from fire and heat source. It should be stored separately from oxidizers and acids, and should never be mixed.
3). Sealed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.
4). Prohibit the use of spark-prone mechanical equipment and tools.

Stability
1). Avoid contact with oxidizing agents, acids. Chemically reactive with primary alcohols. In the presence of catalysts such as zinc chloride and boron trifluoride, esterification gives organic acid esters. Generates acetal with excess acetaldehyde under acid catalysis. Benzyl alcohol is oxidized to give benzaldehyde and further oxidized to give benzoic acid. Benzyl alcohol can also undergo nitration, sulfonation and chlorination.
